The members of the Taskforce for Organization of the Аnti-Counterfeiting International Forum took part in the International Seminar on Copyright and Related Rights and Promotion of Better Use of the Madrid System held in Nizhny Novgorod.
The event was organized and supported by the WIPO (Geneva) in cooperation with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The agenda of the seminar included the issues of national and international regulation of copyright and related rights. The subject is specifically relevant in terms of the Russia’s entry to the WTO.
The participants focused on the importance of the problem of counterfeit products distribution, infringement upon copyright and related rights, and vulnerability of the intellectual property system.
